Naked Nail Polish?!

Naked Nail Polish?! When I first heard that Urban Decay was coming out with a Naked inspired nail polish set I couldn't help but be excited since I adore the Naked 1 and 2 (some of my favorite eye-shadow palettes!) The promo pictures look gorgeous however when I saw the set in-stores I was a little disappointed. You get 6 neutral polishes for $26, which seems like a pretty good deal but... the bottles are tiny (baby nail-polish size,) and from the reviews I read the formulation is not great (chips fast, goopy.) On the other hand the colors are opaque and look gorgeous on (as seen in the pic below.) The color on the ring finger looks fantastic (my favorite from the set!)

I personally cannot give you my opinion on the quality of the polish because I did not test them out. If I do, I will update the post :-) The colors are all neutral tones and the finish ranges from glitter, metallic, cream, and shimmer. The 6 shades offered in the kit are: Hustle, Naked, Smog, Toasted, Creep, & Sidecar (all inspired by colors from the Naked eye-shadow palettes!) The original Naked palette was so popular (with good reason because it is superb) however I feel as if Urban Decay is using the fantastic best selling eye-shadows to market other sub-par products because they will sell due to the hype around the Naked products. It's a good marketing tactic, and hey, they are making $$! However I don't feel as the newly released Naked Basics and Naked Nail Set are must haves (they are nice products, but not revolutionary.) If you are a fan of neutral polish colors then check the nail set out next time your in Sephora, Ulta, or at a Urban Decay counter! I personally prefer bold, fun, bright nail colors so this product is not a must have for  me and my nail polish collection. However I must admit, I am tempted to try the kit out since I adore the Naked shadows! I am a sucker for hyped up products so we shall see...

What do you guys think of the Naked Nail Set? Did you try it out? What color do you like best? Let me know via comment or email :-D

Thank you so much for reading, following, and commenting!

Relax & De-Stress!

The holidays can be a hectic time of the year, especially if you are a student and have to deal with finals on top of holiday shopping, and festive activities! It can drive anyone crazy so in my opinion it's a good idea to give yourself a pat on the back and reward/treat yourself for a job well done! Today I finished my holiday shopping and finals, and I wanted to share a few of my favorite ways to unwind (you can apply these ideas to anytime of the year and not just for finals week and holiday craziness!) So without further ado, idea #1 is...

 Have a Spa Night!

I adore spa nights! Take the extra time to pamper yourself from head to toe. Light a few candles, apply a hair and face mask, and relax with your favorite magazine. I recommend the Bath and Body Works candles (especially if you can get them with the 2 for $20 deal!) These will make your room smell amazing! My favorite face mask of the moment is the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Mask, it will draw out all the impurities from your skin, and make it feel baby smooth! (Let me know if you want a more in-depth review on the mask, because it is amazing!) Lastly the hair mask I have been loving is the Macadamia Deep Repair Mask.  It has a super thick consistency, it will nourish and revive your hair, make it feel super soft and healthy! I adore having my own spa nights!

Luxurious Mani/Pedi!

You might paint your nails a few times a week but it probably does not feel like a salon experience. I love taking the extra time every once in a while to go the extra mile in terms of a mani/pedi! Meaning I exfoliate, moisturize, massage, buff and shape my nails, and paint them a fun color. Right now I am loving Essie Aruba Blue (a beautiful shimmery royal blue shade.) As for a step by step procedure, check out my "Get Sandal Ready Feet: A How To Pedicure" video, where I show you the products I like to use and how I use them to achieve amazing at home results!

Calming Bubble Bath!

I love taking bubble baths (especially when I get to use Lush products) however it's hard to find the time to have a relaxing bath when you have a hectic schedule. Make it a mission this week to take an extra 30 minutes and have a spa worthy bubble bath! Light a few candles, get your favorite bath products ready, as-well as a fun book (optional) and RELAX! I am loving the Lush Cinders Bath Bomb, and the book I am currently reading is  Pretty Little Liars: Stunning. After your amazing bubble bath, apply a rich body moisturizer such as The Body Shop Body Butter (my favorite scent is coconut) and enjoy the rest of your night!

Movie Night!

Anyone who knows me can tell you that I love movie nights! I am a huge movie buff, and watching a good movie is one of my favorite things to do (that makes Netflix my BFF.) Pick the movie you are interested in, I adore comedy, adventure, and romantic movies (all time favorite is Titanic!) Make a bowl of popcorn (or your favorite treat,) put on a pair of pj's or your favorite "comfy" lounge clothes and enjoy! Option: invite your friends over and have fun watching the movie together!

Having a little "me" time is important, I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post on how I like to relax and unwind after a hectic week. What do you guys like to do to treat yourself? A night out with your girlfriends? A new makeup item? Let me know in the comments so we can all share our ideas with each other :-D

Happy Holidays,

I'm Back!

Hi! I hope you are having a wonderful December :-) I am beyond sorry for not blogging for such a long period of time! I am not going to make excuses but I wanted to explain my absence before I start writing new blog posts. My schedule for the past few months has been insanely hectic, with me starting a new job and going to college, trying to balance everything was very difficult. I admit, I am a procrastinator, and my time management skills are awful, but hey the 1st step to recovery is admitting you have a problem :-D My first semester of college is over (took my last final today!) and now I have a month off until the next semester, meaning... I will have a lot more time to blog, and upload videos :-) I love blogging and making videos so I am going to make both a priority and work out a schedule that will work for me now and when school starts again! I promise that I am back for good, and you will be seeing a lot more posts and videos from me! I have so many fun ideas and I can't wait to share everything with you all :-) Thank you so much for understanding and your amazing support! Love you all <3

Happy Holidays!

Blue Ombre Nails For Summer! Easy Nail Tutorial =)

Hi!!! So besides from color blocking another trend that I am obsessed with is anything ombre =) I think it looks so cool & I love the different variations of color/ gradient effect! Recently I did my nails like this:

I loved the way my nails came out so I had to share it with you guys =) The design looks so cool but it is extremely easy to achieve! I decided to do a blue ombre look because blue is my favorite color but this technique will work with any colors you wish from an orange ombre, to pink, to purple, even rainbow will look really cool (to incorporate another summer trend try it with neon colors, I bet that will look amazing as well!)

To see how easy it is to achieve this fun nail art watch my tutorial or check out the step by step instructions below:

What you will need:
-Makeup Sponge
-Base Coat
-3 nail polish shades in the same color family
-Clear or Glitter topcoat
-Approx. 15 min

The colors I used:
-Seche Base (Ridge Filling Base Coat)
-Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear (Pacific Blue)
-Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear (Blu me away)
-Essie (Mint Candy Apple)
-Wet n' Wild (Kaleidoscope)

Step By Step (written out)
1.Like always apply a base coat to prep your nails.
2.Take the darkest color that you are using, mine is a beautiful royal blue by Sally Hansen in the shade Pacific Blue & apply it to your entire nail until you get a opaque and even color. Let your nails completely dry before moving on to the next step.
3.To create the ombre effect take your 2nd darkest color I am using another Sally Hansen polish in the shade Blu Me Away as well as a makeup sponge. Apply the polish to the tip of the sponge and start stippling it on the nail, you want to go 2/3 way up making sure you don’t entirely cover the 1st shade. Stipple the color on in thin sheer layers to get nice opaque coverage.
4.After the 2nd color dries, move on to your last and lightest shade, I decided to use my favorite mint color by essie in Mint candy Apple! Once again apply the polish to the edge of your sponge and begin stippling it on the nail but this time we are only going to apply the color on the tips or last 1/3 section.
5. Finish the design by applying a clear or fine holographic glitter topcoat. The one I’m using is by Wet n’ Wild in Kaleidoscopic, and I love using a glitter polish with this design because it hides the imperfections and gives the nails a cohesive look.

Let me know what you think of this tutorial/look in a comment! If you were to try this design out what colors would you pick? =)

Mother's Day Gift Ideas! Gift Guide!

Hey Guys =) If you live in the U.S Mother's Day is on Sunday! If your short on ideas & you didn't buy/make anything yet read this post & hopefully you'll get a few ideas! Mother's Day isn't about getting your mom something expensive and luxurious, at the end of the day it's the though, & spending time with her is what counts! Keep reading to see my handmade, store bought, & food ideas, as well as to see what I got my Mom this year!

-A beautiful Card! I always make my mom a card instead of buying one at the drugstore, I feel as if it's more personal and heartwarming since your taking the time to make it! One of the pros of making your own card is that you can get as creative as you want! This is the card I made my mom this year...

I bought a pack of cardboard flowers cutouts and I wrote "Happy Mother's Day! Your the Best Mom in the World!" (Translated from Polish) I then decorated it with paper flowers and craft pearls! Everything can be easily found at a craft store.

-A coupon book! It's a oldie but a goodie =) Fill it up with redeemable chores, etc... that your willing to do (outside of your normal chores) trade in. Whenever I make one I always like to include things like: I'll give you a mani/pedi, a massage, I'll treat you to a movie, I'll do your makeup, cook dinner, etc.. you can include whatever you wish but be creative! I would take colorful construction paper, cut it to size, write out the coupons, decorate each page with stickers, glitter, gems, etc, then finish off by hole punching the sides and tying a ribbon to hold the pages together!

-A card/book stating all the reasons why you love your mom! I did this last year for my Dad's birthday and he loved it! I took a huge poster board, folded it in half, decorated the cover, than inside for each year of his life I wrote a reason why I loved him =) It was fun to make, cost next to nothing, but it was from the heart!

-A Jewelry Box! Which mom/women/girl doesn't like jewelry? So why not give her a beautiful customized jewelry box =) You can find a plain wooden box in almost any craft store for under $5! Buy some paint, glitter, rhinestones & decorate away!! I guarantee your mom will love it, I have made my mom countless jewelry boxes throughout the years and not only are they super fun to make but really cute as well! Little tip if your doing this, get a piece of felt ($1) and line the inside of the box to make it feel extra luxurious!

This is the jewelry box I made last year! It's a small heart box which I painted & covered in polka dots! The flower on top is made out of clay!

-Seashell & Pearl Jewelry Bowls! Check out my DIY tutorial on how to make this amazing present =) They are the perfect everyday jewelry holders & are so simple to make!

Watch the Tutorial:

Store Bought!
-A beautiful mug & a can of high quality tea or coffee! My mom loves drinking tea (as do I) so a few years ago I bought her a pretty mug and a tin of tea in a fun flavor =) I got it in Barnes and Noble but you can find a mug & tea anywhere. Wrap it beautifully & you have a cute gift!
-Luxurious Bath Items! Mom's can be so busy worrying about everyone else that they forget about themselves. Give your mom a reason to relax and have a little "me time" with a dreamy bath experience! This is when Lush, Sabon, & other similar stores are your BFF! Make her a cute gift basket filled with goodies =) From Lush I would recommend getting a Bath Bomb, Bubble Bar, & Massage Bar! From Sabon (which is one of my mom's favorite store) I would suggest getting the Sea Salt Scrub (both mine and my mom's fave) and the massage oil (my mom's pick!)

-A makeup product from her favorite brand! My mom adores Chanel makeup, so whenever a special occasion comes around I usually stop by the Chanel counter or store to see if anything catches my eye! Buying high end makeup can be expensive but I'm not saying to buy a ton of products, maybe just a lip gloss ($29) or lipstick ($32) Getting one item that you know your mom will love won't break the bank but it will still be a luxurious present!

-Perfume Sampler Set! Scents are such a personal thing so unless you know that your mom will love the scent don't buy it! Instead get a perfume sampler set =) Your giving the her a few samples to test out & a coupon redeemable for the full size bottle of the scent she falls in love with! You can get a perfume set for under $50 from stores such as Sephora!
-A Spa Gift Certificate! Treat your mom to a fun day at the spa =) Let her relax and unwind while she gets a heavenly massage, or invigorating facial, etc!

-Breakfast in Bed! Your mom will love staying in bed and being served a wonderful homemade meal! Make her favorite breakfast food, include some fresh squeezed juice, some chocolate covered strawberries, & a flower! She will love the effort & the special treatment =)

-Unique apple pie! Make this classic dessert with a twist! (Found this idea on pintrest & I love it!) Your mom will love the unique idea + it'll taste amazing!

-Restaurant! Take your mom out to her favorite restaurant! She will love the fact that she doesn't have to cook =) The food will be perfect & You can spend the day together! Take her out shopping before or after as well or just stroll the city/beach/park together enjoying each others company =)

-Chocolate Chip stuffed Raspberries?! Also found this idea on pintrest (love pintrest) It's so simple, yet I think it would taste fantastic! If not raspberries, classic chocolate covered strawberries dipped into coconut shavings or sprinkles/ etc... would be the perfect alternative =) Or you can do both! Yum!

What I got my Mom for Mother's Day 2012!
This year I made my mom a card (picture above) & I purchased a Chanel lip gloss from their new summer collection! My mom has been obsessed with orange, she loves lip products, & Chanel, so when I spotted this limited edition Chanel orange lip gloss (in the shade Calypso) I immediately knew it was the perfect present!

What are you getting your Mom for Mother's Day this year? What was your favorite present you gave her in the past? Did you get any ideas from this blog post?

*These gifts aren't only for Mother's Day but are ideal for birthdays, special occasions, etc... as well!

Nailed It: My Favorite Spring Manicure! Turquoise & Coral!

Hi!!! I have another Nailed It post for you today, I have been loving this color combination lately & had to share it with you guys =) As you can tell by the pictures & you probably don't need my explanation but I'm going to type it out anyway, I think Turquoise & Coral look amazing paired together =) For a extremely simple manicure I use the coral as a accent nail, but you can pair any 2 colors you wish whether it's green & yellow, or purple & pink, etc... Speaking (typing) of color combos share your favorite pairing with me! If you want more fun but easy nail art ideas check out my: ColorBlock your Nails for Spring where I show you 10 nail designs in 1 video =)

Nailed It: Galaxy Nails!

Hi Lovelies! If your obsessed with nail art you probably heard of Galaxy Nails! Here's my take on this awesome nail trend =) Hint - I love it & I'm sure you will too! XO

You want to start off with a dark base, I decided to use the darkest color of all... Black!
I used Sinful Colors (Black on Black)

Next choose 2 or more fun bright colors to make up your galaxy, I picked Mint, Hot Pink, & Navy Blue (to help with the blending!)

The colors I used...
Mint- Essie (Mint Candy Apple)
Pink- Rimmel London (Posh Pink)
Navy Blue- Rimmel London (Midnight Blue)

Application: You want to stipple the colors in thin layers onto the nail with a cosmetic wedge sponge. Apply the nail polish color right onto the tip of the sponge and start stippling! I began with the Navy Blue to get more of a starry night background, then used the mint, hot pink, and mint again =) You want to place the colors in random places & don't worry about making all nails look exactly the same because you want each nail to be different and unique! There is no set formula for the order to apply the colors just make sure they blend into each other nicely without any obvious cutoff points.

Once you finish stippling, your nails won't look amazing. The stippling effect leaves the polish looking matte and dull but never fear because this next step is literally going to transform the nails and make the galaxy come to life! All you need is a glitter polish! I decided to use a flakie first and glitter second to get a cooler effect. The flakie gave the nails a gorgeous duochrome look making the color shift from orange to green in different lights & then I dotted a glitter polish in random spots to complete the galaxy! Lastly apply your top coat to seal in the manicure & we are done!

I used:
Flakie: Essie - (Shine of the Times)
Glitter: NYC - (105A)

I think Galaxy Nails look amazing, I couldn't stop staring at my nails and I received tons of compliments =)  Definitely try this technique out,  play around with the colors, and rock the manicure! I'm sure you will adore it as much as I do!

Thank you so much for reading! Did you ever try out the Galaxy nail trend? Did you like it? If you try it out after reading this post please send me pictures via my email, twitter, YT, & FB =) I would love to see how yours turn out!

Spring Makeup Trend + My 5 Favorite Lipsticks for Spring!

Hello Lovelies! How are you all doing today? This post is going to be all about a fun spring makeup trend =) Spring this year is all about color or should I say POP of color! whether in clothes, accessories, or makeup! I love adding a pop of color to just about everything because it makes things way more fun! Do you agree? For the bold, try color-blocking which basically is color on color & looks stunning! You can go all out and color-block your outfit or incorporate a color-blocked accessory into your look. Anyways, got a little bit off topic - this post is about the pop of color! So getting back on track... adding a bright splash of color to your makeup can make all the difference. Whenever I used to think of a pop of color, my mind would instantly go to the eyes and using a fun eyeliner or eye-shadow but never to the lips, until now! I never considered myself a bright lipstick wearer and would always stick to baby pinks & nudes but recently I have been swiping on a fun color on my lips & calling it a day! I love  the fact that it's such a simple look to achieve, takes no time at all,  & looks fun, youthful, & playful!

The lips are taking center stage! (for once, right?) & we want all the attention to be on them! I think it's best to leave the eyes/face extremely simple & almost bare looking, as if your not wearing any makeup at all (awesome, right? no more spending 30 minutes doing your eye makeup in the morning!) I think applying a champagne toned eye-shadow all over the eyelid, using a light brown shade to naturally define the crease, smudging brown eyeliner on the upper lash-line, & a coat of mascara makes the perfect combination! As for the face I would use a peachy pink blush, and a bronzer to get a gorgeous sun kissed glow =) Watch my tutorial down below to see how I achieve the look & what products I use!

Now on to the main event! The Lips =)
Since it's spring the brighter the color, the better! Since the rest of our look is so simple & plain, any fun lipstick in the world (for the most part) will look perfect! So it's up to you which color you use, for spring/summer 2012 I think orange, & neon pink are perfect!

My 5 Favorite Bold/er colors to rock...
-Revlon, Siren (Orange)
-Rimmel London, Pink Blush (Neon Pink)
-Revlon, SoftShell Pink (Coral/Pink)
-Mac, Viva Glam Cyndi (Candy Red)
-Wet n' Wild, 907C (Berry)

& a recent favorite/discovery/addition to my collection...
-NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream, Antwerp (orange-y pink) So Pretty!!!!

What are your favorite bold lipsticks/ colors? Let me know in a comment!

What are your thoughts on this makeup trend? Bold Lips, Bare Face/Eyes? I think Yes!

Caviar/MicroBead Nails!

Hello! So a new nail trend that I have been obsessed with is Caviar nails =) I am in love with how this manicure looks & I had to try it out ASAP! I had a pack of blue microbeads in my "craft box" for years & I never knew what to do with them until now... You can buy these beads in all the colors of the rainbow from any craft store such as Michaels. I am going to buy this pack: Martha Stewart Crafts Glass Microbead Set, because I love all the different colors you get and the price is reasonable. + I think it's going to be super fun to play around with different color combos, from the beads themselves & to pairing them with fun nail polish shades =) You can buy the Ciaté Caviar nail set from Sephora for $25 or get more bang out of your buck if you DIY by following the steps below =)

To get the Caviar nails follow these simple steps:

-Apply a base coat to protect your natural nails.
-Apply a coat of nail-polish to all your nails (make sure it's a thicker formula because we want the beads to become cemented in the polish so using a thin watery formula won't hold the beads for long.)

Now we are going to work with one nail at a time!
-Apply a 2nd thick coat of polish to your nail

2 options to apply the beads:
-Pour the beads from their container straight onto the wet nail & they will stick immediately.
-Pour the beads into a small bowl & place your wet nail right on top of the beads. When you lift the nail all the beads will be attached.

Clean up:
-Use your finger to get rid of any excess beads that are on the side but not attached to the polish.
-Tap your finger very gently over the beads to make sure they are all in place & to get rid of any doubling (beads that are on top of the beads but are not attached to the polish.)

-Use a top coat to seal the edges & tips of your nail since this is very chipping is most common.
-You can apply a sheer layer of topcoat over the entire nail but I find that it takes away from the cool effect so I usually skip it. (If you choose to do this step make sure it's a super sheer coat to avoid a gel-y effect.)

Keep still for up to 30 minutes to make sure everything sets and doesn't shift around. I would recommend watching a T.V show or YT videos =)

Now you have Caviar nails as well! I love how super simple & fast the process is but looks amazing, unique, & interesting! I have never received as many compliments on my nails before =)

*This is the technique that works for me!

Watch my tutorial here:

How long do they last?
This was my biggest concern with the caviar manicure, I literally thought all the beads would crumble off my nail after a few minutes! I didn't think they would last & by doing simple activities such as putting on your clothes or shoes they would fall off! Happily I was proved wrong =) This caviar manicure last's & looks good up to 3 days! Here are the pictures of the day by day progress:

After 1 day: As you can see the beads (thankfully) did not fall off! The manicure still looked perfect!

After Day 2: The manicure looked almost perfect, a few beads did fall off but it wasn't noticeable unless closely inspected!

After Day 3: I decided it was time to redo the manicure but I was still very happy with how the beads held up! They lasted for 3 days instead of 30 minutes =)

I hope you enjoyed reading this nail post! Did you try the Caviar manicure out? If so what color combination did you use?

As I mentioned before I am buying more microbeads so let me know if you want a updated caviar manicure post in a few weeks with me showing all the different color combos I try!

Thank you so much for Reading, Watching, Commenting, Following, & Subscribing =)
I really appreciate your support!

NYC 2012 IMATS =) My Experience & Haul!

Hi!!!!! So as many of you all probably know from the flood of NYC/IMATS vlogs/hauls in your subscription boxes that IMATS took place over the weekend (April 14-15) & to sum it up in one word - it was INCREDIBLE!!!! Can you tell I'm excited? Today's post is going to be about my experience & about the cool products I picked up =)

IMATS NYC 2012 was held at PIER 94, I was so glad they changed the venue this year because last years location in Soho was way to small & the layout was a bit confusing. Pier 94 was 10X bigger which made the experience more enjoyable since you didn't feel like you were in a pack of sardines =)

When I first walked in (after waiting on a huge line at 8:30 in the morning) I got my IMATS bracelet & my jaw dropped open (not literally, lol) It felt like being in makeup heaven!!!! So many sellers, so much makeup, so many pretensions, so many amazing people... so little time! I just stood there for a few minutes taking it all in because I wanted to remember the day forever!

The first place I went to was NYX because I knew later on in the day the line would be ginormous & some products might have sold out. Having that said there was still a large line and a lot of people surrounding the stand but I would rather take that then have to stand in line for a hour later on! I bought the most products at NYX and my total came out to $27 =) I tried to control myself & only get the products I truly wanted/needed, so I'm very proud of myself! I picked up the NYX...
-Soft Matte Lip Cream (Antwerp & Istanbul)
-Powder Blush (Cinnamon)
-Eye/Eyebrow Pencil (Charcoal, Satin Blue, Purple, Teal)
-Mega Shine Lip Gloss (Clear)
-"Mood" lip gloss (Affectionate)

After NYX I went to the Jessie's Girl booth & the first 100 people to show them a coupon that JulieG713 mentioned in one of her videos got a free gift! Speaking of JulieG713 she looked so pretty and throughout the whole day she had a line of people waiting to speak to her!! Julie is such a inspiration, and I'm so happy I got to see her! The gift was amazing & so generous =) The products came in a cute little plastic replica shopping bag & inside we got...
-JulieG Nail Color (My Private Palace)
-White/Gold Eye Dust
-Creme Shadow Collection #1

Next I went to the Ardell lash stand! I was really glad Ardell was participating in IMATS this year because I really wanted to try the half lashes!! The promotion they had going on was buy 6 pairs of lashes for $15, get a free Duo Lash Adhesive & have them put on a set for you. I thought that was such a great deal since lashes can get very expensive but seeing how I rarely wear them I just got two pairs. Which lashes are your favorite?
I got the...
-Accent Lashes (301)
-Accent Lashes (305)
I also really wanted to try the Demi Whispies but they sold out really quickly =(

I was looking forward to picking up a set of Beauty Blenders (especially since I passed on them last year) I really wanted to try the famous pink sponge out because I heard so many amazing things about it & almost everyone raves about it! So... I went on a BB hunt, luckily one seller had them so I immediately snatched up a set of 2 (2 for 18, 1 for 14) because I thought I would get more bang for my buck! I'm going to start using it and testing it with different foundations so expect a review/foundation review within the next few weeks! I'm giving one to my mom as well so It'll be interesting to see what she has to say about is since she doesn't use brushes to apply her foundation! Hopefully it lives up the hype =) Did you ever try the Beauty Blender?

By this point I got everything that was on my very short list so I started to explore the other stands, all the products looks so amazing & I had to resist myself from buying everything in sight! However I did pass buy Adoro & I picked up a unique (I think) product. It's the beDazzled Hair Jewlery and I have never seen anything similar & thought it would be so fun to play around with and try! Basically you get 3 rows of hair crystals that you flat iron into your hair & they last for 3-10 days (isn't that amazing?) When I'm in the mood to bedazzle my hair I'll definitely show you how it looks! It was a impulse purchase but for $4 I couldn't pass it up!

After doing some shopping I started to spot in the sea of people (it sort of felt like the I spy game, beauty guru edition!) some of the beauty YouTube-rs I watch =) Meeting the gurus was 30% why I came to IMATS, the other 50% was for the experience & so I can say I went to NYC IMATS, and the last 20% was for the shopping! The first person I saw as previously mentioned was JulieG713, then I saw Amarixe, FleurDeForce, MissGlamorzzi, NikkiPhillipi, Enkore, JoshCollierMUA, akaydoll, beautybaby44, StrawberryElectric48, ayydubs, etc... just to name a few but plenty others as well (I include some of the pics in my IMATS Haul/Vlog video, linked below!) After meeting most of the gurus, I went to a cool presentation of Film Age Makeup! 2 makeup artists transformed a young model into a 80+ looking women, it was amazing! (I filmed a bit of it, you can watch it in my Vlog)

Kandee Johnson was going to do a Q&A session & I was set on seeing it! I waited for 30 minutes on a huge line because their were only 600 seats available. Since it was a hour long presentation and I was walking all day I really wanted to get a seat! I think I was around in the 500 point in the line so I just barely made it =) The seminar was great! Kandee is the most amazing person ever, she is so positve, has so much energy, good advice, and you just feed of her happiness! Her presentation was one of the highlights of the day =) Someone asked Kandee what her favorite products of all time are & one of the items she mentioned was Model in a Bottle! It's basically a makeup setting spray, Kandee said that the product is great for weddings because it almost waterproofs your makeup and prevents it from melting off! She also said that after running around all day in the city when it was boiling hot, her makeup still looked great! I had to check it out (I'm sure most in the audience head towards the booth later on as well!) I decided I had to try it out & for $15 I thought it was worth a shot (compared to Skindinavia & Urabn Decay it seemed like a bargain!) I'll start using it and I'll try to review it ASAP =)

By this point it was around 4:00 in the afternoon & IMATS was almost over =( Can't believe how all the good things pass by so fast! Everything was winding down & I was exhausted so sadly I had to say goodbye. It seemed like I was waiting for IMATS for months & I'm sad its over. Hopefully I get the chance to attend another IMATS in the future whether in NYC, Australia, or anywhere in between =)

Watch my IMATS HAUL/VLOG to see the products/footage =)

If your wondering if you should attend IMATS I say YES! It's such a incredible event, and if your a makeup lover you will love it! Did you ever go to IMATS before? What did you think of it?

April MyGlam Bag!

Hello Lovelies, I hope your all happy & healthy =) Today I am going to share what was in my April Glam Bag & my thoughts on the products! Usually I do a video showing the goodies but I decided to do a blog post instead to switch it up! Really quickly to summarize, MyGlam is a $10 monthly subscription service where each month you get 4-5 deluxe sample and/or full size products delivered right to your doorstep! Awesome right!

The 1st thing I pulled out were these two brushes, a baby shader brush & a angled liner brush! The quality is really nice, they are both very soft & the shorter handles make them perfect travel companions =)

Last month (March) we were sent a brush pouch and a big fluffy blending brush & I think it's cute that we got to add on to our collection with this month's glam bag. The only problem is that the magnetic closure won't stay shut when all the brushes are together =(

The next product was a set of lashes! All the writing on the packaging was not English except the words Blue Extreme, so immediately I thought uh-oh these are contact lenses. When it comes to eyes, and putting something in and out I get very squeamish so I knew I would never use them. I opened the box and to my surprise they were lashes (big sigh of relief, lol)!

The lashes them-self look very dramatic, so I will try them when I create a look that requires a strong set of lashes. Now I'm not a expert in eye lashes since I don't wear them often, however compared to my other sets these seem very course and plastic-y. Hopefully when on they will blend nicely with my natural lashes, but I'll keep you updated!

The next product is a DermStore Lip Quench that claims to give thin, dry lips a fuller, smoother, hydrated appearance.

The product inside is very thick and a little hard to squeeze out but that's not a flaw, just an observation. I quite like this lip balm, the consistency is very gel-y (reminds me of Mac's Tender-tones). The scent is pleasant as well, I can't pinpoint it but its fruity & smells like strawberries but not quite.

There's shimmer in the balm so I was worried it would look frosty on the lips, happily surprised the shimmer is not obvious or obnoxious, instead it leaves the lips with a nice healthy shine. I was expecting the product to be plumping since it advertises to give the appearance of  fuller lips, but it's not at all. I do think the claims are true, the fuller look comes from the lips being hydrated and from the nice sheen the balm provides & it does feels very pleasant/smooth when on. The balm is a pretty light pink shade but it does not add color to the lips, if it does it's very subtle & blends in nicely with your natural lip color! So, first impressions I really like it =)

The last product is a mini Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in the shade Perversion which is a very dark non-shimmer black! I love the Urban Decay eyeliners, they are so smooth & creamy, easy to apply & blend! But when they set, they stay put until you take them off! I was very excited to see this in my bag & I can't wait to start using it!

So that brings me to the end of the April Glam Bag =) I hope you enjoyed seeing what was included in this month's bag! Let me know if you are subscribed to MyGlam & what you thought of your bag this month (definitely an improvement over last month!)
