Hello Lovelies! Who's excited for the Hunger Games? I'm counting down the days till the movie hits theaters and I can't wait to see it =) As you all know Jennifer Lawrence plays the lead role of Katniss & I think she is perfect for the part! I picked up the April issue of Glamour magazine & fell in love with Jennifer's cover makeup (pictures above). Step by step tutorial:
Start by applying a base, the one I’m using is pretty shimmery beige that’s going to give our shadow something to adhere to. Apply it on the lid and blend it towards the brow and inner corner. The Naked Palette is perfect for this look. On a flat shader brush pick up the color Smog and using patting motions apply it to the eyelid.  With a fluffy blending brush mix Buck Smog and Darkhorse, look straight ahead, place the brush in the crease and start blending the color in using windshield wiping motions. You want the color to be in the crease and right above it as well. Jennifer’s eye shadow is winged out a bit so with the brush lightly drag the excess color up towards the end of your brow to get a cat eyed effect.  With a clean brush go over the crease and the edges to blend and soften the shadow, on the same brush take a light shimmery shade and highlight the brow bone and inner corner. Jennifer has thick liner application so I’m going to use a gel liner and with a angled brush create a medium sized line on the upper lash-line. You can make it as thin or as thick as you want depending on your eye shape, and finish by winging the liner out. As for the lower lash-line use a kohl eyeliner to draw a light line stopping ¾ way in, then apply it to the waterline.  With a small eyeliner brush smudge the color out dragging it towards the inner corner. Go back to the Naked palette and mix Half Baked and Smog on the brush, apply it over the liner to give it a softer look, a nice glow, and to set it so it stays on all day. Finish off the eyes with a layer of mascara to the top and bottom lashes.

Instead of blush Jennifer has a very healthy bronzed complexion and very defined cheekbones. I’m going to add a bit of color to the face with a big powder brush applying it in a 3B motion because that is where the sun naturally hits, make sure to take it down the neck to get a seamless look. Switching over to a small contorting brush, make a fish face and place the color right under the cheekbones, starting next to the hairline and dragging it down. This is going to give the face more dimension and the appearance of higher cheekbones. We want the line to be noticeable in a good way so soften the edges by lightly blending over with the powder brush.  To get a nice glow I’m going to apply a liquid highlighter to the top of the cheekbones and blend it out using my fingers.

As for the lips Jennifer has a gorgeous peach color on, I don’t have one in my collection so I mixed two shades to get a similar color. First I applied a nude lipstick than mixed in a bit of orange. That completes the look.

I hope you all enjoyed the tutorial and post =) Let me know if your going to see the Hunger Games and what you think of this look!

Thank you so much for Reading, Watching, Following, & Subscribing =)
XOXO-Angelika
